Abstract

The purpose of this study was to make public oral health plan more effective and improve hospital management system for better clinical dental practice. Distribution and trends were examined in all patients who had been examined and diagnosed at department of pediatric dentistry, wonkwang university of sanbon dental hospital from January 1, 2007 to December 31, 2011. The ratio of male and female was almost the same. Distribution of age had shown the highest rate in 3~4 age group (23.1%). Each percentage of 0~2, 5~6, 7~8, 9~10, 11~12, above of 13 year old group was 20.9%, 17.6%, 15.9%, 9.6%, 6.9%, 6.0%. Distribution of geographic had shown a majority of patients in Gun-po (74.5%). The hospital visit rate was the highest in August (12.0%) and January was followed (11.7%). Oral examination showed the highest percentage (52.8%) in chief complaints. This research show the analysis of ditribution of renewal patients who visited Sanbon dental hospital of wonkwang university during January, 2007 to December, 2011. In research period, this hospital is the only dental hospital of university of Gyeonggi-do. Based on this study, it is meaningful that inferred about recognition of dental treatment of patients and their parents. it helps to communicate easiler with child patients and their parents, and to make dental service provider appropriate diagnosis and treatment plan.
